Our Vision

Our vision statement is simple: “Building Bridges to our Community and Christ.”

Bridges are a part of our life in the New Albany area. They connect us with our work, health care, social activities and friends across the river. We desire to simply be a bridge to connect to our community through sharing the love of Jesus and a bridge for people searching for meaning and love with Jesus.

Our Core Values

Prayer: Jesus taught and modeled prayer as the way to communicate and connect with God, resulting in an intimate relationship with Him. Therefore, we teach and encourage prayer both privately and corporately so as to connect with God in a deep and meaningful way. (John 17:1-26; Matthew 6:5-15)

Truth: Jesus declared He is Truth, and this truth is necessary for life. Therefore, we continually seek Truth through the study and application of God’s Word.

Community: Jesus modeled that life is meant to be lived out sacrificially in connection with God and others because relationships transform lives. Therefore we teach and promote a culture of giving ourselves to God and others.

Acceptance: Jesus taught us to love others by building authentic relationships with people from all backgrounds and journeying alongside them through life. Therefore, we purposely create structures within our life together that will establish and develop authentic relationships. (1 John 4:8, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23; Philippians 2:3-4)

Empowerment: Jesus demonstrated the importance of developing and equipping individuals through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we desire to empower individuals to serve by encouraging them to discover and utilize their gifts with God’s help.

Missional: Jesus gave His followers the purpose of engaging people with the hope that they could know and experience God through Him. Therefore, we share the truth of Jesus with others through as many means as possible, inviting them to join us in knowing and experiencing God.

Stewardship: Jesus taught us that all we have materially and spiritually comes from the hand of God. Therefore, we commit ourselves to the care of that which we have been given personally and as a community of believers, and encourage faithful giving of time, talent, and treasure to support local and world ministry endeavors.
